Circular Space

Blazing stars
Across a summer sky
With death
Always near by
Jacks of all trades
No discrimination
Just meat on a rock
Around a star
Dying together
In circular space

Final Moments

The fear
Of every tomorrow
The weight of terror
In the crumbling sun
The things that pull
At the wearing string
Unravelling it all
From the inside
The impotence of dying need
And the winding down
Of love
As the sun sets
In the crisp autumn
On a final moment’s
Slow demise

Homeward

Like a painted bunting
Singing sweetly
Under a quickening moon
Against a north wind
Blowing toward home
Over steel rails
Through nickel towns
As the snow falls
Over soft voices
Crisp and clear
In the sharp
Winter light
