OCEAN MOONS at PORTRUSH
Their alien life-forms glittered at us
from a sunset strand -
iridiscent jellies in their hundreds -
moon-trawled by a fickle tide.
Black-edged sea lace, clock-faced;
amber-cored, tendrilling into brown;
some amethyst-like, twinkling purply;
still others like excised hearts
no longer pumping ocean.
Bizarrely beautiful,
beached in their bling.
Strange migrants to a northern shore.
