Rendezvous Dreams
dead autumn leaves raining upon
tin roof, the mood is somber and
yet the sun is shining down, upon
my face. memories of us gathering
dust, statues of another time, tumble
upon the ground, graveyard surrender
at six o'clock, tombstones are crying
out again. time erases the all consuming
memories, they rendezvous within dark
corners of my blurry mind.
After the Rain
Through thick and thin
my love never wavered,
I will be waiting for you
through the seasons, I
will wait for you through
crash of concerto moon,
and through dalliances
with this poetic thought,
the crescendo nestled in
whimsical waves, parched
in the desert of missing you,
the darkness lifting, through
a forest now bathed in light,
I can see a future, read in
the morning tea leaves,
clinging onto, that all
encompassing hope.
The Purge
I purge myself of you
in the hemlock morning,
green bile underneath the
tattered roof and tired walls,
baby blue skies, stretched
out infinite, they are yawning
like that cat in the drafty
windowpane.
A laughing yellow sun meditates
in the East, I am here, locked within
this one existence, melting within
ebbs and flows, thrust like a dagger
into the seething gullet of the albatross
cosmos.
I close my eyes, I am young again,
free of you, this decaying realm of
snap fissure blasphemy, a loveless
coil of earthen moment, oh bosom
of salty texture, and warmth of sky
my soul bequeathed.
