MJ Burns is a queer writer and artist from the North East of Scotland. Careers Adviser by day, they are a published short story writer in a number of literary magazines such as Gutter, Loft, little living room, Shoreline of Infinity and Tangled Web. They were shortlisted for the 2023 Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival Writing Award, and the 2024 Edinburgh Award for Flash Fiction.
