Poets, writers and artists are running workshops in schools in the Boston area, working with the following regional delivery partners:-
REGIONAL DELIVERY PARTNER: Transported is a strategic, community-focused programme which aims to get more people in Boston Borough and South Holland enjoying and participating in arts activities.
There are lots of opportunities to become involved and to enter and/or support the poets who will be performing. Young people (5 to 25) are able to submit poems as individuals giving them a chance to take part in the final event.
This is such a massive and really exciting project. I am very pleased to be one of the writers going into schools and running some workshops. On Tuesday 8th October I joined other artists and teachers and enjoyed meeting JACOB SAM-LA ROSE who ran the day’s workshops. Inspirational!

“Enter our free spoken word poetry competition, challenging them to write and perform their very own original poetry in response to the theme – I know I wish I will.
Hundreds of poems will be performed and live-streamed across the world in a 25-hour spoken word marathon culminating on World Poetry Day 2020 at the Criterion Theatre in London’s West End.
All entries to the competition will be in with the chance to be selected as one of our 500 poets performing live on stage, and to have their work published in the I know I wish I will souvenir book, creating a record of our nation’s young voices in 2020.
