MIRACLE!

The caterpillar stoically braced death’s clinch
Out fluttered the most exotic beauty;
On vibrant, chiffon wings.
In despair, desire revelled its win!
Birthing phenomenal wonderment!

EPHEMERAL ESSENCE!

And there she was all alone
Looking for those happy moments
Framed in the photograph
Lost to time, laughter and mirth!
Hollowness struck:
Banal ephemerality!
The album of life
Carefully inserts
Yesterday’s joys,
Today’s emptiness
And tomorrow’s uncertainty!

TOMORROW!

When the leaves would turn
From green to russet, ocherous hue:
And we would have woven some
Bittersweet stories few!
Then like the dew
That shy away from the sun,
We shall have vigour none!
Standing at the end of the road,
Those stories that we wrote
Would replay in our minds.
Frail, demented yet
That ancient smile
Shall cross those dry, pale lips.
Between the gaps of the teeth
Springtime shall grip!
The summer sun shall peep
Through the louver of the chill!
With fragmented lights
The path would be lit.
Happiness shall inundate
Those cataract eyes!
Memories help survive!
