5 Haiku

fledglings teeter
and fall back into the nest
rumspringa

tie temple
what he sacrifices
on the altar

daylilies
one by one at dusk
orange stars turn white

raindrops
we all descend the gorge
seeking the Zambezi

y-axis
of all creation
a pelican's dive
